First entry? Hasn't Brian been listed as a Barflies.net contributor for years? Hasn't he been a Bad News Bowler for, like, a while now, right? Well, yeah. But now I'm official. Now I'm doing the Movable Type thing. So welcome me to the neighborhood, tater tots! The Occulator has landed.
July 2005
Yes folks, it was hotter than a horny toad this past week in Vegas, but Jason, who was there on a whim, sniffed out the crooner convention at the MGM Grand, where Mr. Chris Isaak was circumcizing a week long stint. Now, by the looks of this picture, I'd say the two became best friends!
At the July Barflies.net Geek Out Party, I asked for everyone to tell a funny story. Dave Irish and Matt Salamanca told us the slang for bodily functions that come up in a tour van and amongst boys (or in "Something about Mary":
Buke : Burp and a small amount of puke comes up.
Scrotch : scratch your crotch.
Shart : Fart plus... you figure it out.
There is a exhibit at the Angel's Gate Cultural Art's Center that is near and dear to my heart.
I grew up in the South Bay and San Pedro punk scene has been a big influence of my life. This is one of the reasons why I'm very proud to say that I'm from the South Bay. The exhibit ends July 31.
Visit San Pedro and make a day of it. 6th St. has the Famous Warner Grand Theatre and antique and vintage stores, plus a couple Tattoo Shops and art galleries. Ports of Call has a Maritime Museum. While you are at Angel's Gate visit the Seals at the Marine Wildlife Rehabilation Center, McCarther Park and the Korean Friendship Bell. There is a lot of amazing history in this area.

This is the second time I have had to say "goodbye" to someone after the fact - a tragic accident - takes them away. It's hard to say goodbye in public, on a blog. Two times is two times too many. RIP John Skipper.
Hello Everybody,
My name is Panda, and they call me Pandalicious after my good friend, Ms. Wanda, better known as Wandalicous. She's the voice behind that great radio show "Howdylicious" every Sunday night from 8-10 p.m 88.9, KUCI.org. My Mommy, Reverend Sin and I listen to her show all the time. I also have an annoucement to make. Ms. Wanda is the mommy of Angus McKitty, and he and I are going to get engaged. I must get permission from my Mommy, but as soon as I do, you'll all be invited to the wedding!!! It's nice to meet all of you out here at Barflies.net!
