most memorable of the weekend:
10. The Thrill of Victory...and the Agony
of Defeat: Being on top of the standings for one brief shining moment
due to our handicap (yeah, we sucked last year, so what???!!!) and
having it yanked. Alas, I will work on growing male appendages so
I may be more suitable for the top 16 teams next year.
9. Flirting with dealers: Maybe it
didn't result in free chips or better hands, but at least Mike from
Seattle got an eyeful. And so did everyone up in the security room.
8. Never, EVER bowl with velvet straps.
One more day of bowling rash and I would have gone topless to avoid
it.
7. Just bein' there for good Mr.
Soto: You KNOW you owe me buddy...at least you've got to
throw some of that good luck back my way.
6. Hangin' with my LV homies: Word
up to John and Shinmei, I love you guys!
5. Learning that chivalry isn't dead,
she's just on life support: Kudos to Paul from Tempe AZ, thanks
for the cab ride.
4. Manic Hispanic!
How the hell have I gone so long without seeing these guys? I want
to be a chol(a) too, fellows.
3. Avoding work and school responsibilities
completely for two full glorious days. Helps to explain the lapses
in memory, too.
2. Coming up with our team names for
next year: Brian gets kudos for his "BYO Hopelessly Fat Epiladies"
idea, and a pat for myself on the back for the "Fu*k your Handicap"
team, complete with a different specialty for each member.
1. Oh Captain, my Captain! Special
thanks to Editor Jen Hanen for throwing the Barflies.net team together,
and a big thanks to my other teammates, new friends, and all who
made the weekend supahdupah.
