Avalon's Catalina Island - 26 Miles Across the Sea

There's a magical place 26 miles across the sea from Los Angeles that the locals sometimes forget about. It's a good way to beat the traffic, smog and work burnout. It's Catalina, the Island of Avalon. Whether it be lazing around in the sun, treking on golf carts up into the mountain heights with views that are breathtaking, or kayaking across the clear blue ocean, Catalina has something to offer anyone who needs a getaway for a day.
