Lessons I learned from previous years: a) leave early, traffic on the 101 will most likely be horrible mid-afternoon! b) the valley can be soooo frikkin' hot!!! Not that either of those things will deter me, I'll be there early this year, armed with sunscreen & a lot of water!

What happened to Santa Fe Springs? The Rat Fink Party 1999 or 2000 was in Santa Fe Springs just off the 5 fwy and the 605. Very civilized... easy to get to and relatively cool.
